Dana's educational background and experience

Ms. Dana Dupuis is a graduate of the University of Windsor with a Masters degree in Social Work. She has practiced as a registered Social Worker for over a decade. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety-related disorders and other mental health challenges. 

Dana has gained extensive clinical expertise through her work with the Bulimia Anorexia Nervosa Association (BANA). She played a pivotal role in developing programs and overseeing client care, and has conducted over one thousand assessments across age groups in this role. 

Dana also served as a Clinical Advisor for Eating Disorders Ontario, contributing to province-wide initiatives. Her work was acknowledged by being selected for the Community Contribution Award from the Ontario Association of Social Workers in 2022.

Dana's areas of clinical interest and therapeutic approach

Dana provides evidence-based care for individuals dealing with generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and insomnia.

Dana is dedicated to continued education by attending trainings through the Beck Institute of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy, among others. 

With a compassionate and collaborative style, Dana empowers clients to manage their symptoms, build resilience, and regain control of their lives. Her primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Focusing. Dana adapts her approach to create personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs. She believes in a strong clinical formulation before she starts treatment, and her favorite saying is “We can do difficult things”.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dana has made significant contributions to community health initiatives and program development. Known for her thoughtful approach and dedication, she thrives in multidisciplinary environments and values fostering strong relationships with clients and community partners alike. Outside of her work, Dana enjoys yoga and exploring wellness-focused pursuits.
